About

Most writing about enterprise AI is about AI. I find I am rarely writing about it at all.

What keeps drawing my attention is the layer underneath - the architecture of decisions, the authority that governs them, the trade-offs that get quietly resolved during execution by whoever moves first. The work that determines whether AI compounds value across the enterprise or quietly disperses it. AI is the forcing function. The architecture is the actual subject. The thing I have come to call the strategic layer of enterprise AI.

Background

The argument I keep returning to is that enterprise AI value lives on a layer most organizations have not designed - the architecture of decisions, authority, and trade-offs that determines whether AI compounds across the enterprise or quietly fragments. The work I have done over the past eight-plus years - advising Fortune 500 executives across the Americas on enterprise transformation, AI strategy, and operating model redesign, including large-scale initiatives delivering hundreds of millions of dollars in value - has been mostly about that layer. The more interesting variable, in retrospect, was always the architecture beneath the value, not the value itself. Originally from Mexico, based in New York. Studied Business Informatics - a discipline spanning business and technology - at Tecnológico de Monterrey. Currently a part-time Master's in Finance candidate at Harvard.
